I live in a 2 BHK flat. However, I do prefer to live in a house but since nowadays renting a flat is cheaper than renting a house. Also, flats are more readily available nowadays than houses, especially in metropolitan cities, where infrastructure is having vertical expansion rather than horizontal expansion because of limited land space.
This is a 2000 sq. ft space, which is quite a big space for use. We are only three members living in this flat, me, my wife and our son. Our parents are living in our hometown. Hence we found this space more than our requirement. This has 2 rooms, 1 hall and 2 bathrooms, which is more than enough for us. Also, it has a big balcony, where we used to spend our evening while having a gorgeous view of nature outside.
We have been living there for 2 years. Before that, we were living in a small flat of 1 BHK, which was a bit small for us and hence we decided to search for a bigger flat. Actually my earlier flat was in the same area as my current flat, and our earlier neighbour suggested to us the new flat, which we loved at first sight and decided to move instantly.
The flat is very close to the market. All basic necessity is available nearby. The flat location is really very good in terms of transportation as well. Metro station is very close to my flat, and it will take only 2 min. Walk to reach there. Also, there is a bus stand which is 5 min—walking distance. However, I seldom use the bus for transportation as Metro is quite suitable for this purpose. My flat is also quite open from all around, and the society is very rich in nature. There are 2 parks in society with all amenities such as open gymnasium, kids play area, tennis court and badminton court. Overall this is a very good society at a very good location which suits my family requirement.
Yes, as I mentioned earlier, there are 2 gardens in our society with a facility of an open gymnasium, Tennis court, badminton court, kids play area. Also, the gardens are very big in an area full of nature. There are mango trees, banyan trees and other varieties. In one of the gardens, we also have apple orchards, which is a separate section of the garden. There are dedicated gardeners for each garden, and they manage it very well.
I prefer cold weather over hot weather because I am a foody person and I love to eat a lot. During the winter season, our appetite increases due to the higher energy requirement of our body, and we can eat whatever we want. However, in the summer season, We can not eat so much because of the high heat, which requires more liquid intake comparatively.
My home country is India, and it is a diversified country. We have all seasons in our country. From Feb to April, it is autumn. From April, the Summer season starts, which increases the mercury to a very high level in some parts of my country. This season will continue till August after that spring season starts, which stays for two months approx and will be followed by the Winter season. The Winter season starts from October to February.
I enjoyed the winter season during my childhood, which is from October to February in my country. We used to have a lot of food which is hot in nature to maintain the heat of our body. It is very cold in my hometown during the winter season. Temperature generally goes to 2 deg. C during the winter season. We used to firewood and sat around it then we all family members are talking with each other and enjoy our evening. We used to put some potatoes and sweet potatoes on fire for cooking while we were talking to each other.
Yes, I do follow weather forecasts a lot. Actually, I was living with my aunt before my marriage. They have a catering business that is highly dependent on weather conditions. Hence I used to keep updated on this weather forecast to help them. The weather forecast nowadays is quite accurate because of the latest technologies and satellites.
Yes, the weather is changing due to an increase in Earth temperature. This is the impact of global warming. My country is not an exception in this case. We are also facing delay in the winter season, and winters nowadays are not as harsh as it was 10 to 20 years ago. Also, the average rainfall in my country has reduced a lot during the last ten years. This is all due to the rise in pollution, which is affecting the temperature of our planet and ultimately raising concerns about our existence in future.
